1. First Meeting
- shared ideas about research topics
- decided topic “relationship between sports and business”
problem – too general!
2. Second Meeting
- we’d gained a better insight into the planning process because we’d seen the first two presentations.
- we realised that we can’t rely on Google.
- using the knowledge in the group, we focused on one person:
Andy Murray
- however, after brainstorming for a while we realised:
- we didn’t have enough shared knowledge about Andy Murray in the group.
- we changed topic to someone we all knew something about:
David Beckham
- we used a map to help our thinking
- we tried to identify specific websites eg Football Association.
- we shared out the research tasks -each person investigated a different area.
3. Third Meeting
- we reviewed our findings – information and the sources.
- we organised our information into categories.
- we became aware of new areas that we hadn’t thought of eg charities, the Academy.
- we chose a method to store and share our information : a free blog.
- we reviewed the process we had used, including what we’d learned.
4. Fourth & Fifth Meeting
- we planned and rehearsed our presentation.
